Holy Patrimony

The London Daily Telegraph reports ferment in the Church of England at the remarriage of Prince Charles.

Sharp divisions over the remarriage of the Prince of Wales surfaced in the Church of England yesterday when long-standing members of its "parliament" called on him to renounce the throne.

A liberal Christian think tank added to the furore by saying that the Church should be disestablished following the news that the prince is to marry Camilla Parker Bowles in a civil ceremony.

Quite right, Charles and Camilla are clearly in breach of this clause in the C of E marriage vow.

"Marriage is a sacred contract between a man and a man, woman, dog or goat (or any combination thereof) that no entity shall set asunder".
