Pinteresque-ism

Brits use the term "Pinteresque" to describe a situation in which nutters morph a pleasant scene into something yucky. It's named after the playwright, Harold Pinter, who just got the second Nobel Prize for being anti-American (the UN got the first one). Americans should be reassured that Brits use the term pejoratively.

Examples:

"Oi swampy, don't come the "Pinteresque" with me (thwack)."
"Come out with your hands up Abdullah, and don't try anything "Pinteresque"."
"Bloody hell, that prat Pinter has come over all "Pinteresque" about Iraqis getting to vote at long last."
I hope this is now clear.
