Summer In The Southern Med
The Southern Mediterranean Spring has morphed into summer.
It was 75 degrees (25 N) for my morning run, perfect blue sky and sea, countryside infested with wild flowers and well advanced crops. This visual feast provided a welcome distraction to the pain of one's metabolism hot-swapping from winter to summer.
Then breakfast in the courtyard, surrounded by retinue of begging lizards - I have no idea how they survive the damp winter, or indeed if they do - maybe this is a fresh cohort ?
